A system during the weekend brought widespread heavy rain to much of the Corn Belt and another moving through this week will add to the totals, keep soils wet, and delay the corn and soybean harvest. A mix of adverse conditions affect both hard red winter and soft red winter wheat areas as well.
December corn is down 1 3/4 cents, November soybeans are down 5 1/2 cents and December KC wheat is down 2 1/2 cents.
The cattle complex finally reacted to the bullish implications of the Cattle on Feed report. Triple-digit gains were seen across the board. Hogs moved in the opposite direction with triple-digit losses as fundamental support remains elusive.
